Hooray! Most of it wasn't water loss. Happy about that.
I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday. Hope to see better A1c numbers. I have lost over 40 lbs since April. A 14% drop in fat. Hoping to avoid insulin and keep my newly labeled diabetes under control with now prescribed Metformin and diet.
I have until 9/26 to get all the numbers going down even more before I meet with my heart specialist again. With my weight and blood sugars down, my triglycerides should drop as well. No more 400 range and hopefully I can get off a very expensive medication I really can't afford but he felt was needed for now.
Might sound vain, but I hope to get an Atta Girl, keep up the good work and I don't have to see any other specialist or take any extra tests or meds for now. I am in charge of my own choices about my health. If I cheat, I am only cheating myself. Fatsecret is helping me stay motivated when it is so easy to look in a mirror and say "Why try?" I am glad I found this group.

A1c of 5.7 means I got that "Atta Girl". Metformin and diet are keeping my blood sugars in a decent range. I was given a goal of 15 more lbs. in the next two months. Still need to impress the heart specialist on September 26th. Healthy food choices, daily walking, gardening, and enjoying the moment. Life is good.
