I am back. Too many false starts and stops. I got really uncomfortable cheering others on when I wasn't as committed as they were, it felt false. I recently read one way to shock yourself into taking action is to look at yourself in the mirror naked and take it from there. I did that and I am now I think I am ready. On Fridays in the office, they alternate between free donuts or free bagels. Not me, no more, not now. I came home late last night and boiled eggs. Brought them to work to have for breakfast (had three) and with a salad at lunch. Started exercising again, walking and stairs. I have a friend who is doing the same. I miss my FS family. -Ches

Hi Ches, welcome back! Don't feel bad, we all struggle with ups and downs and motivation at times. Many different people here but that's something most of us have in common. Today's a great day for a fresh start. I heard that today is national donut day. Just say NO to those donuts! :) Good to have you back with us.

Thanks everyone. I am 2 hrs away from my late morning walk with my friend. It involves steep inclines and stairs, we did it 2 x already this week and I didn't strain or pull anything. Wish me luck!!

nice to see you back! you're right that you have to be committed to yourself to be more healthy. my office always has food of some kind around, too. today was bagels and fruit. i picked out some strawberries and avoided the rest. the jalapeno bagels were calling my name, but i know that's a slippery slope and i'll just kick myself later so...no bagel.

Feeling the luv. Thanks Everyone!!!! There are 51 stairs that lead to Government Center opposite the famous Faneuil hall in downtown Boston. I know, because a friend and I walked up 10 times and down 10 times in 24 minutes without stopping today during lunch. Yay us!!

Awesome! I grew up near Boston and lived in the city many years so I know those stairs!

The boiled eggs were a great idea! I love practical solutions and alternatives to what is not working.

Boiled eggs are my go to protein food. I boil them up 18 at a time and have 2 of them 5 days a week.
