No change today – no big deal. Unfortunately I have my first planned ‘cheat’ today – pre-diet dinner plans with a friend (she is a former professional chef and the textbook definition of a ‘foodie’). She was nice enough to offer to make sugar free Jell-O for dessert, but I am guessing there will be plenty of carbs in the other *nine* courses. I have talked to her beforehand and she promises not to take offense if I pass on any particularly carby dish or if I push something off to my wife.
We are great friends – but I would hazard to guess that at least 50% of the relationship is based on food. Anyone else have issues like this? What did you do?
