I passed on the dessert table at a function last night. When I'm stressed or going through something I rationalize that I "deserve" sweets, treats, deep-fried items, simple carbs, etc. I didn't have the strength to have (just a bite) so I avoided it altogether by rationalizing there's plenty of desserts in my future but right now I'm busy getting my shred on by building muscle and burning fat. To be rewarded on the scale for my efforts feels amazing!

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The key is to find other dopamine-rush inducers rather than sweets. I head outside for a brief walk when I'm stressed, and always feel good afterwards. If the weather is crap, I'll put on some fun music and dance around my living room. Watching a skit from SNL on YouTube is good for a laugh, too. So many treats that have no calories!
