I'm in a weird position where I am at a stand still in the scale but am losing the same amount of fat as muscle gain. My fat free mass is 70.8kg from 67.6 three weeks ago meaning I've gained about 3kg of lean mass and lost 3kg fat making my body fat mass 33.7kg from 35.9kg. So it's possible to gain more than 3kg of lean mass in a month plus water rention as well
