I have a trojan stationary bicycle that I use. But I am eyeing a scale from Tanita, but at the moment it is a bit on the expensive side :-(

Hi there
Have to ask, please bear with me, what type of blood glucose and ketone device are you using to test your ketone levels? Where did you buy and cost? I see the sticks are quite expensive, therefore please advise how often yu test. Also last but not least, what is your protein and fat intake daily?

Hi Nell-Marie. No Problem. I use a FreeStyle Optium with Blood B-Ketone strips. I got the meter for free with my 1st Box of Ketone Strips (Shows you how expensive the strips are). The strips I buy every few months as I only check my Ketones once a week when I weigh in (It is just to ensure I am still in Ketosis). If I remember correctly the strips are about R350, and I get them from my local Pharmacy. I try to keep the following balance 75% Fat, 20% Protein & 5% Carbs. My Protein intake I try to keep to the rule of 1g Protein for every 1kg body mass. If you have any Questions let me know.
