Well I knew it was a false reading a couple of weeks ago - 'twas my body telling me I'd been drinking too much and not eating enough and I was incredibly ill with gastroentiritis for a week. I couldn't exercise, so I knocked off the calories of my mile a day, but stuck to it perfectly, eating a lot of kefir yoghurt, sourdough bread and kimchi - anything to get my guts back to health... lol... but avoiding fermented grapes until I was well again... ;)
Then I altered the rules of my diet - I may no longer - under any circumstances - swap my meals calories for alcohol. If I want to spend my free choice calories on it, no problem, but if I want more wine (or cake, or whatever), I have to walk it off, preferably beforehand. This worked a treat and I ate really healthily this week - almost entirely home-cooked stuff from scratch and plenty of veg. I also walked 17 and a half miles over the week - something I could not have done at over a stone heavier a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I'm exactly where I want to be - I predicted at the start that I'd be 15 stone 2 this morning and I was! Really determined to stick to it this week, so I'm 15 stone next week, partly because I hope that's the last time I ever see the number 15 on a set of scales I'm standing on again - but also when I hit 15 stone 1, the colour changes on my fat secret chart - and I haven't done that for a year and a half... looking forward to week 9!! If I can avoid the lurgy!! :D xx
