Well, its been nice not having to agonize over my diet. How ironic it is that when I allow myself fruit or a pita, I stay strong and strict to low carb! Yesterday, I didnt even want any carbs..so I ate only meat and eggs. Today, I was miserable, so I had 2 pitas (which arent sweetened with HFCS but with honey)..and I waited 3 hours before eating fats/proteins..and Im all better now :)
Its been in the 90s all week here in VA, so walking with 2 kids in the stroller up and down steep hills is quite the challenge. Im doing 15 minutes only. I know the Virginia Tech study is going to make me step it up a notch soon...so Im enjoying the 15 minutes until then :)
So, I still weigh the same. See?? Eating carbs is okay. Its taking some time for this to sink in. I havent had one dessert in over 2 weeks, and I dont want one..not even through my TOM! Now that is different! Im probably sticking to 5-50 net carbs/day...probably closer to 20...the difference is, I choose what good carbs they are..and I feel better doing it.
THe book, The Schawarzbein Principle, states that when we eat carbs, our hunger doesnt stop. But if we eat six boiled eggs, the release of cholecystokinin (enzyme breaking down fats and proteins) acts as a hunger suppressant. I recalled this today when I wasnt full after my pitas.
