Had a terribly week last week, up until yesterday...two holiday parties, a friend from out of town so we ate out frequently, etc, etc...way over the ol' points anyway you slice it. So I thought, since I'm over, why not enjoy it?!? Eat what you want. Drink what you want. You can always start over Monday, right? So, I'm post-poning my weigh in for this week until Friday...hopefully I can get things back under control. I drive myself crazy!!! When I come back to reality, I'm like, why do you do this to yourself? Feeling really disappointed and a little hopeless. I always seem to come back to this place. To find the silver lining, I am being honest with myself by journaling and I am attempting to get back on track this week, and I've stayed within my points today. Bottom line is, if I want to change, I have to be willing to make different choices when it comes to eating and exercise. Simple, right? Well, it's certainly not easy.

Alrighty. Had a really successful week last week. I originally joined back in July of this year while training for a marathon. I became really frustrated when I wasn't loosing weight...maybe two or three pounds total. When I get really honest with myself I know it's because I didn't change my eating habits long term. If anything I ate more, so I still had my weight watchers materials from a few years back (points calculator, food lists, activity calculator, etc) so I decided to join this site for support and get my weight under control. I was so motivated at the time. But after a couple of weeks, and completing the marathon, I kept eating whatever and whenever I wanted, and gained back the few pounds I lost...plus a few more.
Now I'm back on track, active on the sight again, and losing weight following the WW plan. This is the third week on plan and sure enough, when I follow it, I loose pounds. Too simple, huh? And I'm amazed at what I can actually get away with eating! Love those flex points!!! I think I'm FINALLY starting to get that this has to be a true change for me and the way I approach food, long term. Not for just a few weeks. I've done it over and over and over again, but this time I really want to get it. I CAN DO THIS! Having big faith in myself for another successful week. Really want to get this part of my life under control. I'm also going to Mexico in March and I want to look good!!! Great motivator to stay on track.
