Some days I have higher energy than others. Yesterday I had about 2400 steps. That's huge! Lately I've been happy to hit 1000. The balance and strength issues, the pelvic fracture, and coming out of the chemo side effects makes each day an adventure. Some days I'm having fun at the circus, other days I'm struggling to walk across the desert.
Yesterday a neighbor came for a long visit and conversation, it was grand, took my mind off my husband's death in December and wandered the world in imagination.
Today I sat on the phone with Social Security for 30 minutes and never got past the menu for 20 minutes, then was told i would be connected and listened to the phone ring for 10 minuets then hung up. I think they might have closed due to local flooding. So many other tasks I need to complete but I couldn't stay wake and took a 2 hour much needed nap. I am mostly caught up on laundry, though. That's a big accomplishment. I'm guessing my weight is holding. I'm about at my goal, and now I'm more concerned with gathering some muscle and hopefully some strength.

I went through today and read such a long list of thoughtful comments. I appreciate each and every one of you.
I am now almost 3 months past my last chemo infusion and i am thrilled that my appetite has finally returned. When I can keep pain at bay and muster a git of energy, I'm printing recipes. Doesn't mean I'm cooking or baking yet, but at least I am "planning," reading recipes, and even printing some. I even put some ingredients on my shopping list to make a German chicken lemon soup. I will freeze it in portions and be able to have homemade soup on demand! Nutritious, low calorie, and hydration all in one package.
Good luck to all of you on your journeys.

from June, 2023, at 144.4 pounds
I was diagnosed with breast cancer June 13.
I had surgery and then chemo, last chemo October 20 left very bad side effects requiring hospitalization and a long recovery.
In September I fell, causing a fracture in the pelvis and LOTS of pain. I was also not getting my shots i my back for spinal issues, so that was also causing a lot of pain.
During my chemo infusions, my husband became ill with sepsis, and multiple organ failure. He transitioned to hospice November 10, and came home with hospice care. He passed December 4th.
Currently I am 133 pounds, having lost 11 pounds through this medical disaster. Not the way I wanted to lose it.

Diet yesterday seems to be working. Need to stay on track through the stresses going on right now. Apparently stress and worry changes my metabolism considerably. Cortisol/Cushings.

Gaining 0.7 kg a Week

My weight has jumped since we lost my Service Dog on May 22 so a second stroke. I had been eating normally and staying at 141 for quite a long time. Suddenly it's been going up every day. I'm going back to the dieting pattern.
Of course the strawberry pie I made last weekend could have something to do with it, but I had been able to eat whatever with no weight change.
