i am a high school senior from ft worth, tx who has struggled with my weight for the past 4 years...i've never been obese, but i've always had a few extra pounds which made me feel out of place in a bathing suit or in the dressing room. i started south beach in may 2007, and got down to 165 (from 180) and have bounced around 165-175 since then. i'm ready to lose everything i want to, and stay there!
i play a lot of basketball, so that's a great calorie burner, but late nate snacks KILL me! i'll do great all day, but around 10 or so at night, while i'm finishing up my homework, i'll start snacking on nuts or peanut butter and just keep going...sometimes i'll even do the same thing with ice cream. once i can control that late nite eating, i'll know i've got this thing beat! i do just fine on phase 1 of south beach, but the transition to 2 and 3 has always been a little difficult because i love fruit so much. this time though, i know i'm going to do it!
i also love dancing (salsa!), yoga, and cooking...new recipes are so fun!
