Apr 2023: Decided intermittent fasting is what works for me: 19:5, and reducing sugar and simple carbs, otherwise just healthy foods.

June 2016 - Need to lose 6 lb/ 3 kg and keep it off! Using high fibre, low simple carbs, low sugar diet, with fats from olive oil/avocado/nuts, mostly fish and chicken for meat. Trying to keep total calories around 1100/day.
Will also be doing the "Fast Mimicking Diet" several times a year for health reasons.
Nov 2014: Need to lose 15lb / 6 kg. Looking at a high fibre, low cal diet now ...
2012: I'm in my early 50's, and need to lose around 20 lbs or 10 kgs ... I'm interested in a high fibre 5:2 diet, altho strict adherence is not a priority as I have to cook for the family. I gave up alcohol last week, and need to improve my blood lipid profile.
Target intake (1000 cals):
Sugars < 20 g added
Protein: ~50g / day for women
Fibre: 21g total; 4 - 6g of soluble fibre daily
Carbs: To enter ketosis and reach an optimal ketone level of 0.5 and 2 mmol/L, limit dietary carbs to 30-50g (or lower than that) per day.
