Walked 3.1 miles yesterday morning after retrieving my umbrella (yet again!) from the thrift shop where I left it on Wednesday. I'm going to have to come up with a system so that by the time I get into my car, I realize that I've left it behind. Making it a point to get back to the shop right away when it opens the next day throws off my schedule!!! LOL!

Got my hair cut yesterday and also had an enjoyable shopping trip to a favorite grocery store over in that part of the county. I stocked up on more chia seeds and pumpkin seeds because the price is fairly good....at least it's better than buying the chia seeds in a jar at the drug store.

Today I had a morning church commitment, so no walking for the doggies. DH is home, however, so he took them. After the church thing, I headed for the gym, not realizing that it was closed due to the holiday. B-u-t....an alternate facility is right across the parking lot. I've never been there, as that's pretty much where the active duty military members work out and so do the more hard-core athletes. Well, it was either summon up the courage to go inside OR come home after having done nothing. Well, off I went in search of an elliptical machine. Found an alternate brand machine and after a few attempts to find a comfortable program, I managed to get a good workout done. But, I'm seriously beat right now. Might be a combination of that workout and the much higher heat today.

A can of chicken broth is calling my name, as I think I need it.

The chicken broth sounds delicious! Homey. Cozy. God Bless the soldiers. My hubby is watching a John Wayne movie right now. We will watch several this weekend. Tell your doggies hello from my Tiger - my little wiener "dawg." He's way gangstah!

Kudos to you for venturing into that gym. BTW - I fully understand about the umbrella thing. The temperatures require a light jacket when I go to work (6:30 AM). Of course, by the time I leave work it is 80 or 90 degrees out and the last thing on my mind is retrieving my jacket. Sometimes by Friday, every coat/jacket/sweater is hanging at work.

Sandy, I am always going off and leaving my umbrella somewhere, and of course, soon as I do, it rains! lol Oh, well, I'm not sugar and won't melt, that's for sure! Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Thank your hubby for his service for me! HUGS!
