Well, I did it!!!!! YAY! I completed the first 9 days of detox and was cheat-free... okay, so that's a slight lie but I had 2 tsp of ketchup so not something I would call a serious cheat in any way. This is the first time I've been able to stick to a diet plan even for this long. In the process I lost 6 lbs and already feel like I've changed my eating habits. I had been hoping for a little more (30 lbs would have been great ;-) haha) but I didn't exercise and I take some medications that have weight gain as a side effect, so that's working against me a little... but, this is for the long haul, so it WILL happen.
I found the first phase easy to follow and after the headaches I had for the first two days, I felt great - never hungry. Yogurt has been great and I've enjoyed my daily fruit smoothies.
So, on to the next phase. There will be some challenges here. I'm going to a "pub night" tonight so I will have a diet soft drink, which is okay. I have a planned cheat tomorrow night, with a dinner I won at a charity auction last month. The menu is set so not much I can do except to be really cheat-free leading up to and after... It's life so I won't worry much about it.
I'm really glad I found this website! Have a great weekend everyone!
