StumpsMom's Journal, 02 Dec 07

Ok guys, someone send some good thoughts my way...it's been a mighty struggle lately. And even though I lost .6 this week, I did it just by the hair of my teeth. I think I'm losing my vigilance...cheating a lot and going over my points...it's no good, no good!

Ok, that's enough whining...I will take care of myself this week, I will take care of myself this week!

Right??

What do you mean "Right??"???? Yes you will! Dont cheat on your points you are only cheating yourself. Why do you think you are going over? Is it hunger or cravings or mindless eating or what?? It helps to know the reason so that you can tackle it, move on, and improve.

Maybe starting a new activity can keep you from eating without thinking. I am a stay at home mom and I totally get bored and want to eat at times. Sometimes i just have to call my sister, go for a walk, play with my daughter, or get moving in some way so I am not reaching for food out of boredom. You will be more productive and will have plenty of points to spend on the things REALLY worth splurging on!

Ok if its mindless eating why dont you try keeping a food journal for a few days. ( Or do you do that already with WW?) Make sure you say to yourself "I have absolutely no excuse for eating this because I am not hungry and I've already eaten breakfast/lunch/dinner today. Sure it would be nice, but losing weight would be nicer!!!!" Good luck, I am sending over loads of positive thoughts. x

I did WW last year and really wanted those extra points at first. What you could try is telling yourself each week you have a less amount of your extra. So if the normal is 35, this week pretend you can only have 30 points without going over. So even though it's not a lot, it's still 5 less points you may have eaten if you thought you had them!
