Please don't stop working out. It's extremely important to keep your metabolism high (which burns more calories) and to maintain muscle while reducing calories. If all you're concerned with is the scale, then just stop eating altogether. If you want to look better, you need to include weights along with a healthy diet.
Good luck with your new lifestyle and we're happy to have you on board!

Welcome and good luck! I agree with Mcarthey, don't stop working out and don't stop lifting weights. Every pound of muscle you build burns about 50 calories a day to survive. You won't build too much muscle, 99.8% of all woman naturally don't have the right hormones to bulk up. You'll look lean and beautiful and be a fat burning machine:)

just to share. several years ago, before my second child. I was running 2 to 3 miles on a consistent basis. I noticed I was putting weight on as well. What I didn't pay attention to, I was eating more too. This is the perfect diet it incorporates both diet and exercise. You'll love it. The support from everyone hear is an added bonus. Stay Positive!
