a tip I use to help the impulsive pantry run is once I unload all my groceries, I immediately take them all out of their original packaging and put into tupperware/ziplock bags/ etc (the wax bags from empty cereal boxes are the best for storage)...this way the pantry becomes "nuetral: and I am less prone to the emotional impact of the colors/advertisement/ etc...youde be amazed how unappealing food becomes when its sitting in a plastic bag...especially cookies/chips/baked goods...gives me the "pantry is kinda empty"feeling///perhaps I should go read a book instead of eat!
