My doggies staged an "Occupy the Leash Area" protest over not having been walked in 2 days, so out we went today. It was warmer...almost 60 degrees, sunny and with a moderate breeze. I had to circle back by the house and swap out my jeans for some shorts, as well as ditching my jacket, earband, and gloves.

Walked 3.1 miles with both doggies today and I think we all appreciated being out in the fresh air for that time.

Household stuff today...need to marinate some steaks for grilling this weekend, do some laundry and continue a low-level de-Christmasizing. I also went through our receipts for the year and shredded those that we'll never need. Lots of work to do to get ready for taxes, but if I can manage to do a bit each day, maybe THIS year (she says hopefully) it won't be such a chore to do, in such a rush, near the deadline.

Holiday weight continuing to drop, even though my calories are high (for me). I'm even snarfing peanuts, but am doing so earlier in the day and going light, with everything, at night. I won't be able to continue the peanut thing, because the high calories really throw off my food balance for the rest of the day. But it's been interesting to see that there MAY be a way to have my peanuts - very occasionally - and still do OK.

I'm actually hungry for veggies!!! Bought some broccoli and more salad greens at the store yesterday.

Good for you, Stef. I knew you wouldn't hang out in the "orange" zone for very long!

Good - We won't have to turn you in to the ASPCA! And I'm impressed - starting your taxes already! I'm ashamed to tell you how far behind I am. I tell DH - I do paperwork all day so I really don't feel like coming home to do more paperwork. BTW - I'm having the same nut battle. Have a nice evening.

One thing's for sure, Buffy....I bet the peanut industry is doing well these days! We're doing our part to keep this economy going.

Bren, hunt and search about describes it! I get better each year doing things that will make it easier for me at year-end, but it still takes a lot of time. Rick Perry's postcard filing would be pure heaven!

Notfast, as a retired accountant, I bet you can do your taxes in your sleep! Do you miss the long hours and headaches of the January-April period???!!
