Today my entire body aches from attending yesterday’s boot camp class which was a first for me. I can hardly sit or get up, but it is all good. I might be feeling it all over my body, but I enjoyed the emotional high when I pushed myself.

For years I have been trying to get into the exercise routine but only found myself making excuses which led me to over eat and feel sorry for myself. Finally I feel mentally prepared to push myself. This makes me feel proud as I can finally see myself achieving my goal weight.

My eating habits has also improved over the last 3 weeks since I track my carb, protein and fat intake and I find myself less hungry. I must admit that after decreasing the consumption of sugars and unhealthy carbs from my diet I feel so much less hungry. Before I could not envision my meals without sugar or carbs, but my body has become accustom to it. Now eating a very small muffin for breakfast actually made me feel sick. No jokes, I seriously felt nauseas after eating it.

I am signed up to run my first 5km run tomorrow. I have never been much of a runner, so this is going to be an achievement when I finish. I thank God that I am finally taking responsibility for my health and who I want to be. I still have 10kg to go… a long way off but I am patient and I want this to be a life style change. I am not doing this for a quick fix… I am doing this for the long term.

No problem, you'll do it because you're going about it the right way. I had a muffin the other day and I felt sick too, but that could have been because it wasn't a very good muffin . . . :)

Thanks Strange Trout and Schmetterlinge34. Appreciate the encouragement and yes I completed the 5km run in 1 hour. Doing my next one is a few weeks :)
