I am 32 years old, married for 11 years with 2 kids. One step daughter, and one birth daughter. This is my second time attempting the Atkins diet. The first time was veryyyy successful. I lost 70lbs in 7 months, but gained it all back and then some when I went through a EXTREME high risk pregnancy with my now 2 1/2 year old daughter Maddisyn. I found out then that I had SEVERAL blood disorders: The Duffy Antibody, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, Anticardiolipin Syndrome and the Lupus Anticoagulant. I went on sevral medications while I was pregnant including steroids and anticoagulants. My princess was born 3 months early at 1lb 12.9oz. She was only in the hospital for 2 months, and by the grace of God she is 100% healthy. I figure that there is no better time than the present to get in shape so that I can be a healthy mom for her. My family is my life, and I know that losing a lot of this weight will benefit us all.
