I am thinking how its unfair that people who have lots to lose, tend to look down on people that only have 15 pounds or so...i mean, we are still fighting the same battle aren't we? of course, sometimes i notice how tiny some people seem to me and to see them wanting to get thinner, it does seem odd...so i guess we are maybe all guilty of it. I just think that if anyone is losing weight for the right reason, to get healthier and to make themselves feel better, then its all good!!! kudos to all of us for trying!!!

i am so on your side!!! even though i'm SO skinny for americans, according to the healthy weight (both in the states and everywhere else in the world), i'm still a little chubby (body fat percentage wise). so ppl should just face that some ppl are extremely obese and some are 1 lb away from their healthy weight! that is the right reason! i'm yelling "jia-you" to you! (jia-you) is chinese saying go go go, good luck, and fight that battle!! jia you!

you know... I think it's not the amount of weight that you have to lose. It's the self-image we all want to improve. I've met people twice my weight with twice the self-confidence. I only have @ 10 pounds to lose, but I've never felt good about myself. We ARE all in the same boat. Living a healthier lifestyle and maybe shedding some extra pounds in the process should be the uniform goal. Hats off and kudos to anyone who can stick to their goal, no matter how much they have to lose!

I don't think it's so much that people with more to lose look down on the close-to-their-goal set, its just that anyone with more than 50lbs to lose has their life on the line, whereas most people with less than 20 lbs to lose have fewer health concerns that they have to deal with. Again, that's generally speaking. I know that any amount of extra weight is not good for your health. What I am saying is that so often people in the 10-20 lbs. to lose group don't realize that for me, this is life-and-death. If I don't lose this weight, I will not only have a poor quality of life and poor self-image, it also drastically shortens my lifespan. I do have a tendancy to think that people in the 10-20 lbs to lose group should focus more on whether or not they are physically fit rather than how much they weigh. I do hope that your week and weight loss are going well. There's a saying that goes something like "No one can think less of you without your permission." I believe Elanor Roosevelt said it.

All of us here are struggling on a daily basis with regaining a healthy lifestyle....no matter how much we have to lose. I know I get obsessed sometimes with those NUMBERS on the scale...but in the end it comes down to how I feel....and hopefully when I "feel good" about the way I look...the number wont even matter. Keep up all your hard work ! :)
