Stairmaster, rather than walking today. We were having "pesky drizzle" - yup, that's the term the meteorologist used, so glad he went to college for that! LOL!

My back is much better with all the rest, the heat I've been putting on it, and, of course, the ibuprophen. I still don't have full ROM, but enough to do most things without too much discomfort. Now, it's mostly just a nagging-type injury. Still, I'm being careful to not overdo and re-injure the thing. I wasn't sure how it would feel doing Stairmaster, but it was OK after doing a few light stretches first.

When I went walking Saturday, I crossed paths with a couple that walks their 2 dogs fairly regularly. I don't know them, except by sight. After our initial hellos, the gal said, "You've really been losing weight, haven't you?" Well, that made my day. We talked for a bit about weight loss (she's doing WW) and then went on our ways, but there was certainly a bit more spring in my step the rest of the way!

Looking forward to (yet another) Republican Presidential Debate tonight. I love these things - can't get enough. In 2008, I watched every one that I could find, Republican & Democrat. While it sometimes can get too rehearsed and to the point where I can almost recite their answers because I've heard them so much, nonetheless, there are, occasionally, some nuggets of wisdom that can be found. It also helps to have heard the ENTIRE debate when some pundits start cherry-picking comments, trying to stir up some controversy that just isn't there.

STAIRMASTER NOTES: Manual programs. No straight-arm or forearm support - Yay! Max HR on 2nd (level 3) program was 150, but recovered into the low teens w/in 1 minute of program end. HR 120+ in middle portion of the first program (level 2).

Sandy, it is so awesome when someone notices our hard work, but it is even better when it is someone we don't know. It would put a bit more spring in my step, that's for sure!!! Have a great day!

Believe me, Bren, I've got the DVR all set. There's too much to record tonight - believe it or not! - so I had to get creative to see everything I want to see. Take care.

Thanks Stef. This is the 2nd neighbor I don't know who's commented on the weight loss. I'd better not get used to this or I'll be sorely disappointed when I hit Maintenance! LOL! Hope you've rested up from all your hard work this weekend.

Notfast, I, too, am glad my back is getting better. It's really frustrating not doing just regular, routine actions. I just have to watch myself so I don't go nuts trying to make up for lost time!

Wooo Hooo, she's a struttin' her stuff now...you go girl! So happy somebody noticed & took the time to pay you such a nice compliment! They are too far & few! Glad your back is doing better. Stairmaster, ouch, I heard from someone those things CAN hurt! Take some more IB, get your schedule straight for what gets taped when & enjoy the debates. PS - you deserve compliments! Plus, I did a happy dance for you!!

Thanks Dar. Yes, if one doesn't have proper posture on the SM, one can get a sore back, thighs, shoulders, arms, wrist, etc. beyond what SHOULD get a bit sore when on that machine. Don't forget to log your dancing as exercise! LOL!

Triaby, no, I didn't post any before/after pics. Tried to post one pic as an avatar and my computer had a hernia, eventually timing out saying it couldn't do it LOL! One of these days, maybe I'll get the time to get computer-savvy enough to do photos.
