Gorgeous day! TS Lee is long gone and we have sunny, bright blue skies and the temps are phenomenal...69 degrees when I set out on my walk this AM! Sixties!!! It was just 72 when I finished, as well. Wonderful breeze - so much so that I didn't even have to wear the insect repellent.

With this kind of weather, even my Lab gal with the heart murmur was fine to go 2.4 miles. I kept my Collie guy along to do the full 3.1 miles and he was one happy camper! Of course, BOTH were really happy campers when they went for a dip in the pool, too. Because they'd been cooped up for the rainy weekend, I felt like I should indulge them a bit, even if it meant more work for me, esp. in trying to get my Collie dried off (a 2-towel minimum).

There's so much outdoor work to be done, it's hard to know where to start or what the #1 priority should be - to me they're all #1 priorities. We'll probably have 3 days just like today and then the rain and humidity will return.

Well, gotta run. Lots to do outside. And, did I mention? The house windows are all open as well - Oh, happy day!!!!

Sandy - Glad that you survived Lee and got so cooler weather in the bargain. We are getting your Lee Leftovers, but am hoping it will be dry enough for me to walk the nature trail by lunchtime tomorrow. You are about due to shed a pound any day now - aren't you? I swear somebody sneaks in and superglues our scales.

Yup. Overdue, in fact. Can't blame mine on superglue, though I wish I could. Too many peanuts slipping in. If I could just stay out of the peanuts for more than 4-6 days, it would happen. Well, maybe my outdoor work and lack of peanuts these next couple days will finally push me into the 150's. Hope you can get your walk in.

Sandy, Lucky You with your beautiful weather. It was 96 today for me. We always start with the windows open, but then the slight breeze ends, then here comes the hot sun. AirCo! I keep saying fall is just around the corner and no more $600 monthly electricity bills. California living does have it's downfalls at times... I'm waiting for ya Fall! :)

Hi Sandy, I am glad that you finally got some good weather! I can sympathize with the peanuts...mine are almonds, they are making them in so many flavors now! I buy the plain unsalted roasted..they are not so appetizing, just enough to cure my munchies.

Bren, it's been 2 days now with super weather for walking! The only downside is that the pool is now a bit too cool (for me) to swim in. But, hey, for now, I'll just bask in this terrific weather! Hope you're having a good week.

Cheryl, that electricity bill would really bite!! I've seen many posters in a pool forum talk about their high bills in CA, esp. when they add a pool pump on it too. Our bill seems high here, but it's actually less than the smaller house we had in TX. Go figure.

Lisa, I don't know what it is about nuts, but I pretty much love every variety now and especially love the butters made from them. Lucky for me, right now NO butters are open, so that's one temptation I can avoid. I love almonds when they're oven toasted with a butter spray on them - Mmmmmmm.
