BTW, you're better than me. If I ever eat, it's on...lol. I personally start in the evening. Normally, 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. the ed next day. It's easier for me that way.

Good for you - you will be so slim tomorrow!

I'm starting my fast after 8pm tonight and will not eat again until Wednesday at 12 noon. Last week was no problem. I am amazingly less "food centric" now! We can do this! Good luck to you, Rhontique!

FatgirlJenny, I'm not sure how I decided on beginning in the morning. I debated with myself for a couple of days before doing my first fast last week. FloridaAngel, I only do water and black coffee. I put lemon juice in some of my water, it is supposed to help detox your system but I haven't researched this for myself. I read on some post somewhere that bulletproof coffee is permitted during a fast but I don't know if this is accurate either. I'm new at this!

Now I remember!! I thought it would be easier on this schedule because I could sleep thru the final 8 hours!! Taking the easy way out!

Either way, my friend. Whatever works best for you. 24 hours is still 24 hours either way...lol. Some people say that a bulletproof fast is even better than a traditional fast because the fat causes your body to secrete bile while you still get the benefits from fasting as your body thinks it is burning body fat. To each's own. They both work great!

Your fast rules are pretty much up to you. When I do a fast I stick with oils and fats. If I start feeling hungry a pat of butter or tablespoon of mayo or olive oil is perfectly permissible and goes a long way to killing hunger so that the fast can be maintained.

After doing completely w/o food for 24 hours, aren't you even more hungry and eat too much once the fast is over?

Punkin5053 this is only my 2nd one, but last week I only ate between 700 & 800 calories the following day. I didn't feel hungry when I went to bed, but I did have a headache.
