Sandy701's Journal, 02 Sep 11

Same old, same old. Walked 3.2 miles this morning, after walking 3.1 all other days this week. Humidity has increased with that system in the Gulf.

The one good thing about today's walk was that I was able to catch the last song in the Today Show's Summer Concert Series when I brought the dogs back home, before going out again to add the mileage. It was my absolute favorite Lenny Kravitz song, "Are You Gonna Go My Way" (or something like that). It put me in SUCH a good mood, I was grinning like a fool most of the rest of the way with that song just pumping in my brain. I almost began to run....but stopped myself before doing something so-o-o crazy - LOL!

Hope everyone has a safe, wonderful weekend. Ours will be a washout from the looks of it due to soon-to-be Tropical Storm Lee.

Sandy - It is not just "same old". You should be commended for every day you keep this up! We still need rain so send some up my way (Irene failed us).

Thanks Buffy. It just really felt like "same old" today. If it hadn't been for hearing that great song, I would have continued to be in a pretty grumpy mood today. Anyway, no problem with sending the rain as it looks like we'll have MORE than enough to share - LOL!!! I'm hoping to get some work and errands done today, before we get the heavy showers that are looming. Have a relaxing, long weekend.

Sandy, I am glad something got your mood to a higher level, music inspires me in a lot of different ways. Mostly it makes me happy. I am hoping you have one of those Ipod things so you can take the music with you when you need it, like today (my music is on my phone, so it is almost always with me)! Sorry you are getting rained on Again, but try to have a good weekend anyway.

GG...I would love to have an Ipod with oodles of downloads, but just can't bring myself to pay a monthly fee for the service. Maybe someday... Hope the WI weather is good to you this weekend.

Hey Bren...Walking counts no matter where you do it, so good for you! Unlike Irene, the forecast tracks look like a pre-schooler drawing with crayons for the first time, so who knows exactly where this one will end up! Hope you have a great weekend.

Sandy - you are very persistent in your walking every day and that is to be highly commended :) But I kinda know what you mean by "same old, same old" because on the days when I do walk and don't do pilates I also feel like "same old, same old", cause my routes are usually the same and I'm trying to get 2 miles walked, and you're way ahead of me ! Have a great weekend :)

Like everyone else said. The fact that you walk every day is awesome. We are expecting hot weather this weekend but we'll see. We have had the mildest summer I can remember in years.

Notfast, my routes are all quite similar, but not exactly the same. I measured out separate loops for each street in the neighborhood, and then some, and so I can vary what loops I put together to get the mileage. If you walk the route in the opposite direction, that can make it feel like a different route - SOMEtimes! You're doing great with the 2-mile walk. I started with just 1.5 miles and I was completely shot by the time I finished. It's taken a long while to do this mileage. I don't think I'll be extending the mileage much more than this on a regular basis simply because it takes so much time! I'll have to find an alternative. You have a great Labor Day weekend, too.

Karenagain, thanks for stopping by. Our summer has just been much hotter and drier than usual but not as hot as the Dallas/OKC area of the country. I think TS Lee will have something to say about that "drier" part! Hope your weekend weather isn't too hot to enjoy.

Aww, Sandy that is a bummer about TS Lee. Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend anyway! Hugs, and great job with the walking! Awesome!
