It’s really hard to cut back on sweets if you have slipped into the habit of having them again.
It’s so terribly easy to pick up bad habits.

I make my own muffins with added diced green apples, blueberries, I made a bug quantity, normal muffin recipe, I have one every night & freeze 1/2 the quality I’ve made. So my go is I have my treat at the end of the day & 1/2 a glass of v8 purple power vegetable juice. This has personally kept me on track & curbed my sweet tooth. I also only eat every 5 or 6 during the day, breakfast, lunch & dinner. If I’m need something after lunch I have a hand full of nuts. I hope this helps?

It can be but if you want something more important then it’s not. I love sweets or anything sweet especially coke but I wanted to get my bloody pressure under control more than I wanted coke so you just need to want it more

Unless you have a disses you don’t need to cut off all sweets. Just count the calories and include the sweets in your diet. Also you can find really tasty and good sweet stuff without sugar.

Thank you for your support everyone. I do check my calories every day and I have only put on 2 kilos but I know very well from experience that if you let bad habits continue, the weight will start to return. I have replaced everything in my wardrobe to a smaller size after a period of 2 years at my target weight. I simply cannot put on weight or I will not have clothes that fit.

oh I know that feeling but just go back to the number & plan to enjoy you meals. 2 English muffins, 2 tbsp nutella = 420 calories approx. 1 english muffin, 1 tbsp nutella & half punnet strwberries = 220 calories approx. Just put in what you've been eating & then find an alternative, or you'll just do this again & again. I always have stewed apples & small pots of yoghurt(160g) in the fridge. Chop the apples, cook in microwave & then they get this syrup as they col. Low-cal jelly, cream/yoghurt & fruit. Overnight oats. Frozen banana with dark choc or nuitella. I find logging the sweets I've been eating & seeing the numbers (calories/protein/sugar etc) vs what I could be eating a really good tool. Keep going!

I went to the Darrel Lea skip last week. Sorry Darrel , I don’t think I’ll be back because it did nothing for my health. Today’s bowl of steamed veg made me feel energised and positive. Oh, and they were delicious. I did them in a saucepan steamer - much better flavour than microwave.

yeah tell me about it... the sweet cravings are real... even though we know it's bad for health... unfortunately it's the bad habits we cultivated over our lifetime... mostly when we were little... it's crazy how hard it is to lose a kilo weight and how easy to put it on
