I am slowly easing out of it, I swapped normal sugar for Xylitol which restricts how much I have of it because of its laxative effect. It tastes just as good but limits my intake and it doesn’t hurt much on calories. When I go out I ask for honey instead of sugar. I don’t want to go cold Turkey on letting it completely go, however thats the GOAL!. Hope this helps 👊🏾

Aren't we all?😭 I have limited myself to one sweet treat a day and I usually have it after dinner to keep me from going into a sugar binge. I also make sure to buy single servings of whatever sweet treat I feel like having that day, so I don't keep any of it at home. If I want chocolate, ice cream or cake I will have to go out to get it so that also disincentivises me. I find that I'm more in control of my cravings now, hope it helps!

You can try taking glutamine, it can help with sugar cravings. The rest is mind over matter. 🤯😅

I’m the same but I’ve just had to find substitutes. Like instead of eating gummy bear I now eat frozen grapes🤷🏾‍♀️

Try 1/2 an apple sliced in thin slices & eat with 15 ml of no sugar added peanut butter as snacks. Just remember those calories … & don’t worry - peanuts are quite sweet, so no-sugar peanut butter is sweet

I am too. i can suggest dates, they are rich so takes about two dates to fulfill that sugar craving. My favorite sweet treat is double cream yogurt with fresh mango.

Are you eating spoons full of sugar day and night right out of the bag? If not, luckily you're not addicted to sugar, but only have a sweet tooth. :) Seeing it differently, helps to create new neuro pathways. Find foods that help with your satiety. Eat a high protein savoury breakfast to avoid the continued sugar spike and fall during the day. Eat more nutrient dense foods and don't deny yourself of cut food groups out completely as this could lead to binging on it later. Don't 'reward' yourself with food, you are not a pet. If you do want something sweet, have a few blocks of dark chocolate, or dates, or if you really want to indulge, stuff a medjool date with half a pecan, peanut butter and drizzle with dark chocolate. They taste like a Snickers bar 😋 Or Greek yogurt mixes with peanut butter and a little bit of maple syrup. Freeze in ice block moulds, drizzle with dark chocolate. It's like ice cream. High in protein, a little goes a long way to curb the craving, and it all still feels like you are nit depriving yourself. I've lost 6kg's in the last 2 months. Slow and steady and learning what works for me to compliment my new healthier lifestyle. Good luck. 💚

watch out for honey or normal maple syrup or lots of fruit. Although healthier they are still calorie dense. Due recent diabetes diagnosis I'm closely tracking my sugar as well. So max 2 servings of fresh whole fruit a day. if the craving really hits a couple of blocks Canderal Suger free chocolate or Lovies sugar free hard sweet does the trick.
