Yesterday was such a good day. Started out going to the monthly Amish auction. Bought a bag of beautiful Jonagold apples. I have not been eating fruit since the middle of July, but I will enjoy these in moderation while they are in season. Then on to the Lord's Acre dinner and sale at the tiny church my MIL attends. I picked thru the food offerings and filled my plate with "legal" items. No dressing or homemade noodles for me! The dessert table was loaded with homemade pies and more. Amazingly I was not even tempted. I continue to marvel that this sugar addict is free from the craving for all that gooey rich food. If eating the apples is enough sugar back in my diet to bring on the cravings then I will give them away. The auction after the dinner was lots of fun with friendly competition to pay way too much for the items offered! Then on to visit with some more friends and family. Indeed an awesome day!
