I believe your fully aware of my stance on "paying attention to the numbers" thing. Keep up your good work and soon, you will start seeing the evidence of your efforts. ;)

I just can't do that. I get too worried that I've gained 20 pounds or something, if I don't weigh every day. Tamarah you are doing great!

Great plan TJ - I have found one pair pf particular pants I want to wear and I try them on every couple weeks. I can now pull them up over my butt and hips...but still about six inches away from actually zipping them closed! Belly fat...that is my best measure - so you may better enjoy the tape measure, and seeing yourself progress to heavier weights in your strength training. Much better than the "idiot box" any day!

If that works for you go for it, If you find it doesn't work just readjust. I know I weigh daily and the scale is a rollercoaster sometimes, that is why I only record a weekly reading the same day every week. Clothes, appearance how you feel is a better indicator

I think it's great you are challenging yourself Tamarah Jo! I weigh myself once a week and that keeps me sane but I hope you get some takers to help you stay on track for yourself! :-D

@TJ - Try it out for a month and see how you do. I've thought about weighing once a week since I've been lifting heavy but I'm not quite mentally there yet. I've only been 'back at it', the weight loss, for only 5 months and I just don't trust myself yet. I've come to the whole 'weight loss' attitude from the perspective of an addict; it's different for everybody. I've got to make my daily meetings right now and I may eventually be to a point where I only need a meeting once a week; but for now it's just safer to weigh everyday. I don't do it to see changes, I do it to keep myself accountable.

In Strength training programs I understand inches are more indicative of progress vice pounds lost. Does that make sense?

I weigh once a week because it helps keep me on track.
