I am a creature of routine when it comes to exercise. My routine has been messed with a lot the last two weeks. Switching from lifting everyday to not everyday has messed with my routine which messes with my head. Needless to say, the last week and half haven’t been the most productive. I have been to the gym and my exercising there has been meh at best.
My son tells me last night he wants to join me working out. That came out of the blue! So I went to wake him up this morning and rolls over and asks if he can start next week. Ok. I won’t be holding my breath.
So at the gym this morning and doing a real workout. Told my brain I will just do something, anything, just to be doing a good workout.

Good for you. I'm sure your son's intentions are good, but it can be so hard to get out of that warm, cozy bed early in the morning, especially when you're young.

I get all discombobulated when I change my routine too. Just keep moving forward and you'll find what works. 💪

What happens when you repeatatively do the same routine is that eventually your body gets adapted to that same routine, does it more efficiently and therefore burns fewer calories. Shake it up. Gym one day, swim, ride your bike. You get the point.

Chatting with my son this evening and seems he is serious about lifting at the gym. Good sign
