No walking for exercise today so that makes it a totally restful weekend. A few more storms threatened and looked quite impressive on radar but then fizzled just as they were getting ready to dump some rain on us.

The next several days are forecast to produce dangerous heat indices, potentially up to 110, so any walking will be rough going, almost no matter what time one chooses. The doggies got an abbreviated walk with DH this AM, but we'll have to assess each day as it comes for them.

Every BODY needs a break now & then, even though yours is weather induced, I say enjoy it all you can!! I thought of you yesterday, as the temps & humidity climbed way up there, (more of the same for today only higher), I don't know how you do it! I spent very little time outside in the afternoon (I was amazed at all I found to do, with nothing really planned), too hard to breathe, I couldn't imagine walking for miles in it! How do you do it? Does a body get used to the heat & humidity & become conditioned to it? I guess so! Anyway, just wanted to say I was thinking of you & admired very much what you accomplish under very difficult conditions! That said - you deserve a break woman!!

Thanks for those thoughts, Dar. A body does get used to it. Now, I'm not saying it's easy or that it's pleasant. If you go from not doing anything outside to walking, or working, outside when it's this hot and humid, one probably won't do very well. But, I've been walking regularly as the temps increased this spring. There were a few days, though, even with that weather-conditioning, that were brutal, almost difficult to breathe, even. But that was because the humidity and heat spiked a bit at that time. But after getting through those days, it's now just a hot, sweaty time to work through. The break was quite welcome this weekend!
