This week I learned something important ….
The PT I follow online spoke about it in many of his videos but I feel it myself so it just got real.
Past months I have been maintaining a 15% deficit calories in/out. My weight was going down nice and steady. Exercised a bit every day.

At the beginning of June when I couldn’t wear anything from my wardrobe I was really happy. I’m also really excited because soon I will travel home and can’t wait for my family to see me.

So the first two weeks of June I went overboard.🤔
I had avg. 2700 calories out and avg. 1700 calories in. Now that is much more than 15%….on Monday I still went to body combat and I felt buzzing….
Well since Tuesday I cannot move, I am very tired and very hungry. I eat around 2400 and I have to stop myself. And I struggle to do my 30 min workout ( can’t even think to go for a run) I’m really sluggish and need a lot of naps 😱 So I guess what they say is true. We are not machines slow and steady is better ☺️ I’m travelling on Sunday it’s time for a reset ☺️

Yer sounds like u just hit it to hard, which sometimes you just cannot help it when the routine takes over and results are coming, you just don't realise that everytime u go u r actually doing more than u did previously as u become fitter and denser ur output increases. I have found that a full break every 8 weeks for 1 week is required to avoid these burn out periods, also helps restore lemptin levels which are crucial for optimum fat loss and to regulate the thyroid which can slow over the course of dieting down, don't worry your energy will come back just rest up! 👍

I think building 1 or 2 recovery days into each week can be helpful if you want to run big deficits on your exercise days.

Ketotic, Thank You I will rest for sure on Sunday a 9 hour bus ride ahead of me 😂 Since I exercise but not so heavy every day I think if I keep myself to the I will be good. I just need a good reset ( today probably no it as I’m already at 1500 and I’m really hungry getting ready for dinner right now. 😂😂) Bearwood, I don’t want to do such big calorie deficit ever again…. I usually get out of bed easily and active throughout the day. I also drink one espresso in the morning nothing after. The fact that on Tuesday I almost fell asleep behind the wheels scared me 😱 I had another coffee but I was still sleepy with faster heart rate…. I never felt such fatigue before. I even checked myself for covid 🤔
