It's hard when it's a set back like that, I find myself also falling sometimes, but after 3 years the overwhelming truth is it is consistency that is key. I promise one night won't set you back. Try not to weigh this morning because a big meal with lots of carbs and sodium tends to cause water retention and you'll just feel worse. Put it behind you and move on ☘️

I understand (and hate) that cycle of being tired/upset/angry/guilty for not for example exercising or eating right, and then you end up in a binge and even more upset/angry/guilty 😣 and so the cycle continues. Try to remember your *why* - this is a process that takes time, and ultimately it's for your health, that has to be the main reason, it has to come from self love. One of the best best things someone once said on this forum, that stuck with me for the last 3 years - "you can't hate yourself healthy, you can't punish yourself thin". I started roughly where you are, and I really really know how hard it can be when you trying and experience set backs, and the feeling of hopeless wanting to give up. But you got this, you can do it!

@WaistAway87 I know your comment was not directed towards me but I'm sooo glad i came across it today. I sometimes forget that i spent years punishing my body and have only spent a few trying to love it back to health. when i experience set backs it can feel like the few years of effort are foreverr but in the grand scheme of things it's been quite short and my body deserves to be taken care off for however long I'm in it.

take care of that shoulder. it's normal to feel frustrated but remember that you spend more time in the kitchen than you do in the gym, so don't let an injury get in the way of your progress. I've had a rotator cuff injury since late November and because I can't train as hard, I am very mindful of my food and eating habits. also. shoulders. who knew that they took so long to heal. I'm actually off to see a specialist next week for a deeper look.

also. alternative exercises while looking after your shoulder.. standing twisting bicycle. squats and lunges and wall squats. also. good old, walking.... walking is a great exercise that is too often overlooked but it has wonderful benefits mentally and physically. also. if you can swim... I've been doing doggy paddle and breast stroke as physio treatments to keep my shoulder mobile while I can't do much else.

@countess - damn i feel that comment of yours "I've spend years punishing my body and only a few months taking care of it" - that even hits me where it counts, because I also had a bad cycle of binge, purge, crash diets, and repeat. So expecting overnight changes - no... It really is a process. At times I feel a bit proud of myself, there is currently a lot of food I eat not because I love it (at all), but because of the health benefits of it...definite progress!

Such true words. I too often forgot that I didn't put the weight on overnight, it was months and years of bad eating habbits and having a sweetie container for when I am stressed. But we have got this! Did any of u ladies have issues with constipation? I have had so many different comments about not taking any electrolytes. So I am not sure if it is that. Your views?

@Lena - take a good magnesium and probiotics supplement daily, your problems will be solved forever ☘️
