I've been struggling for a couple weeks, just wanting stuff I shouldn't be eating - primarily carbs, and others have mentioned the same thing. Personally I think it's probably just me being lax in the willpower department but it does make me wonder if there is something about the coming of winter that makes us want to put on some weight for the winter. I'm resolving to do better staring today.

I wouldn't worry until you get the urge to hibernate. :-)

hang in there Jim. It's tough fighting evolution. Winter's coming (Game of Thrones, anyone?) ... just got to double down on the effort. Personally, Halloween needs to be banned :) kidding. i love it. a little too much.

It is absolutely true that we crave more carbs in winter since carbs turn into sugar. It is dark, it is cold, we want energy!

Try and increase your fat intake, remembering to keep protein at conservative levels. The increased fat will help stopping the crave. water also important, sometimes you think you hungry but actually thirsty...at least 2L water daily.

I hear ya, I have been sooo lax lately with renos in my home and the season changing I've let it sliiiiide I plan to get back on the horse asap because Xmas is coming! I want to be able to indulge for it and not miss out too much so now I'm hoping to hop back on. I really think weather has a lot to do with it. But don't stress it'll come back to you.
