I don't even believe the numbers on the scale this morning. I'm certain I'm dehydrated. I'm certain that I will see a gain next week because of this week's drastic loss. I'm certain that I'm in shock and dancing my little bootie all around the house! It has been a long time since I've been in the 180's. Years.
Guess what? I'm not skinny, LOL. When on a weight loss journey, one would think that as the pounds come off, you'd find a new, skinnier you. Yes, that may be true - but I'm still fat in the fat spots, I'm still jiggly in the jiggly spots, I'm still round in the rump. Maybe less than before, but not gone. How many pounds do I have to lose to have it gone? Is this where the government recommended BMI comes into play? Ugg... another 40 pounds to go.
On the brighter side, I crossed my legs today and it felt strange. I normally grab my knee to help it over, and pull it so it'll "stick". Today I just lifted my leg, hucked it over the other & it stayed. It didn't roll back, or need a prop for my toe to hold the leg comfortably over. A noticeable difference. YAY.
This past week I've been miserable with a chest cold. I skipped 2 run days, or 4 whole days of running to help heal. I wouldn't have been able to breath, nor would I have had the energy to run. Last night I pushed through it, almost to be stubborn. I felt great afterwards, but after cooling down I promptly hacked my brains out. I'm glad that I did it, and I'm VERY happy with my progress. Since I skipped a few days, I reran Week 6 Day 2, two 10 minute jogs. Tomorrow will be a 15 min jog + 5 more minutes... I'm scared/nervous/excited. Next week I'll be jogging. Not jog/walking, I'll be jogging!
