Day 2: I'm not going to lie my mind is playing tricks on me. it's been two days and all I can think about is how good a McDonald's burger would be right now. it just goes to show how quickly unhealthy eating can get out of hand.

I know completely understand the term: comfort eater. Having a rough drive home, hard day at work all just makes you want to eat.. BUT DONT BE FOOLED.

That burger will satisfy you for an hour, the chocolate- maybe 30 minutes. After the sugar has worn off you'll be left with guilt.

So my advice to myself is: No one else is going to make you successful. Chin up and work hard.

It will be worth it in the end!!!!

Be careful of swinging too hard in any direction, especially in the beginning - it's very hard to go from eating a lot of "junk food" regularly, to suddenly eating nothing, you will naturally get cravings. Small consistent changes to your lifestyle will get you there. I do not advocate for eating McDonald's, and personally haven't had it in probably 2.5 years, but if your cravings are unmanageable rather have something small, like a kiddies burger once in a while, until you are at the point where you feel like "you know what I'd rather have my own home-made burger with good fresh ingredients than something from a takeout joint"

Try making your own burger. Extra lean mince, throw on some lettuce, cheese onion, bit of sauce. I use the sandwich squares instead of bun. It’s a lot tastier than McD’s minus the guilt

Honestly I have been experiencing the exact same thing. I used to eat a lot of fast food and one of my favourites has always been that double chilli cheese burger from McDonald's. I am trying so hard not to get on my Mr D's app to order it 🤣🤣🤣
