Fried rice for lunch. Rice, bacon, egg, tofu, mushroom and shallot. Sriracha, fish sauce, soy sauce and msg for flavor. Used the fat from the bacon to fry everything so i didnt have to use as much oil. 450 calories.

It really is. It brings so much flavor when you know how to use it

Yum! I may have to try this. What's the recipe?

Morgan I don't really have a recipe because I make these so often but Ill try. 1 cup of rice (leftover or cooked ahead of time and cooled) 1 slice of bacon 1 shallot (1/4 onion works fine) 3 mushrooms (whatever vegetable works well. Carrots, peppers, broccoli... I usually use whatever needs to be cooked) 3 oz of tofu 1 egg Sriracha Soy sauce Thai fish sauce Msg

Chop the bacon small and cook in the pan until the fat is liquid. Add onion and sauteed until translucent. Add mushroom (or other vegetables) and tofu and saute until cooked. Add rice and mix thoroughly (if you have a wok you can flip and feel fancy). Sriracha, soy sauce, msg and fish sauce to taste. (Sometimes I throw in some sliced Thai chili's in about now too. Last the egg. Move the rice to the side so the bottom of the pan is exposed and drop the egg in. Stir the eggs until it's scrambled and fully cooked. Mix it all up and place. Sprinkle some little green onions on the top to make it pretty. If you like Asian food I like to watch uncle Roger and Emmy in Japan on YouTube. They're very different styles but they're both really fun.
