So this week has been great! Went to the doctors and found out even though my blood pressure is high, it can be fixed by losing weight. I also found out my lungs sound great (stopped social smoking after 20 years), which is awesome! I dropped my calories I am eating, changed my diet and got back into the gym, and now am down almost 12 lbs.
One thing I do not understand though, is I barely see any change in my body since I started to lose the weight. I look in the mirror and expect to see something, but never do. I try on some of the pants I have been holding onto, expecting to fit in them, but I still do not. The shirts are tight, the undershirts are tight and the shorts are still tight. The only change I see is on the scale. But that alone is enough to keep my going.
So I look to the future and have decided that as an early birthday gift to myself, starting Sept 1st, I will be taking up boxing 3 days a week at a local gym. $75.00 a month for boxing classes 3 days a week and accessibility to TRX, which my current gym does not have. So with my UFC Gym Membership, and my LA Fitness Membership, will cost me around 110 a month which honestly with being able to go to the gym, have access to TRX, and have 3 boxing classes a week, I am excited as hell!!!
