When you do a LOT of exercise your body is going to SCREAM for carbs when you get finished.
When we used to go scuba diving here was nothing I wanted after a day of diving more than a big plate of spaghetti! If you manage to find a way around this I would love to hear it!

If anything I am thirsty but not hungry at that point. Since I left all glutens and starchy carbs behind I don't crave them much. Protein shakes, cheese, meat, and nuts all are good fillers with few carbs. Those can be good alternatives.

thats what i was going to say.... protien after the work out. you burned energy which is why your body wants the carbs. the protien will better level your sugars and keep you feeling fuller longer and it wont negate the excecise. it may take a bit for your body to adjust but once it does it works great.
