They do a great job with this dish, Mariel! It's the only time I eat liver. It's good for you, but I don't want to go through the hassle of buying, preparing, and cooking it.

I used to make it for my ex-husband just cleaning it is horrible when I was pregnant I tried because I heard it would be good for iron but I had to eat so much bacon with the bite I took I figured it couldn't be good with me

This is very mild. Don't know if my tastes have changed, but I like it. Lots of good stuff with it to help, though!

I remember having liver and onions as a kid, and I liked it. Made it once as an adult then saw that it was super high in cholesterol. Most people don't worry about that, but I do.

If you want to you might all write a little bio that indicates that you are on a weight gain not loss journey. It helps your reader to have a better understanding of the whys and wherefore of your plan of attack. Weight loss or weight gain, it’s all hard. There are a few guys here who are also on that same journey.

I like liver and onions a lot. Don’t eat it often but love it. There is a Norm’s restaurant close to me that makes it really good. Like my mom’s. Gee, idont know if that is a good thing or not.

Thanks, everyone! Liver is not an 'on the fence' sort of subject! Jimmie, that's a great line! LOL

I don't eat it now but as a child mom did serve it once in awhile. We also sometimes had liverwurst sandwiches. I managed an epicure shop up in NY many many years ago and we sold freshly made liver pates (all types) so it was something I did eat regularly along with other weird stuff. It did have a very unique distinct flavor but not something I see myself eating again. Enjoy !

Yes, haven't had pate in a while. We very rarely had liverwurst. I eat it for the protein but still not my favorite taste!

With a food processor, it's easy to make delicious pate. I find it a great way to eat liver.
Buy it organic, - liver's one food where that makes a big difference.
