hi Mary. I cook a "family" size amount of some meals and freeze them in portion sizes. I have other things that are super fast to cook (salmon with salad and ryvita). I almost always have the same breakfast so it's really fast to input (most eaten option) and sets me if each day on the right track. sure others have their own strategies too. good luck!

Are you able to cook in bulk at the weekends etc and pre-portion them? So you'll know how many calories per portion. I've not used shakes for years, but the biggest issue I had was that I regained the weight once I stopped them. Some people say having a rough weekly meal plan with calories worked out helps. It's hard to start during Ramadan or Eid...kinda like trying to start a diet the week before Christmas. Good luck with your journey. I'm relatively new and have loads of wobbles, but there are wonderful friends here who lift me up. Engage with FS - it really helps.

I like to keep a couple of slimming world meals in the freezer for a quick go to meal when I don't have time or can't be bothered to cook. few minutes in the microwave and I'm good to go.

Thank you all for the advices and support.
Definitely gonna try cooking and storing for the week, I’ve not tried that for my self but I’ve done it for my husband when he was on a diet.
When it comes to my self I kind of get lazy, something that I have to change as well, to make my health a priority.

Hi Mary, I have my main meals planned: I know exact ingredients and quantities. I make them in advance keep and in a fridge or freezer. I repeat meals, in this case I don't need to recalculate every time and it's easy to put in a diary as I have them as saved meals. Good luck 👍
