Depends if you have a fever or not. You don’t want to end up dehydrating if you have a fever. If it’s a simple cold, a little exercise might help you sweat it out. If you have a viral infection. I would avoid exercise until you aren’t contagious and you would recover quicker without putting strain on the body. To be safe. Just do light walking. And drink lots of electrolytes.

I find it virtually impossible to do anything when I'm really sick I feel like you'd know when you're too sick, nothing wrong with taking a break either; just do keep your diet spot on over that period because the lack of intake will hurt the return workout

Rather slow down, don't think it is good for your heart. My opinion

hi! health care professional here! you should rather rest and take it slow* vigorous exercise could lead to thd virus/bactetia in your lungs spreading you your heart muscle (myocarditis) - which can be very dangerous.
why not try gentle yoga and stretching instead?

Agree with everyone, not good for the hart mussels...let your chest clear 1st...gain energy then start slow till you gain your strength

your body needs to rest and requires all your energy to heal itself. exercising puts strain on your heart and body resulting in you not recovering and you can get worse.

Do not exercise when you’re suffering from a viral illness (and bacterial infection for that matter) your heart is a muscle and just like you get overall fatigue when you’re sick putting your heart under strain by doing exercise can increase your chance of having a heart attack or causing damage. Rather stay in bed, rest and drink lots of water; some stretching is good to keep moving but nothing too hectic when you’re feeling 50% better you can go for short walks and only when you’re 100% I would suggest getting back to your exercise routine.

I was reading your comments about just sticking to your exercise routine, it’s terrible but unfortunately you have to rest. You can go on short walks just to keep a little active but only when you’re at 50% and keep up your eating habits. But you do need rest.

Don't overdo it because it's bad for your heart. Light stretches and plenty rest
