Wow, the last few days have been pretty rough. My wife has always paid the bills, mostly because I'm too damned forgetful. Well she's got a bad habit of "floating" checks, writing checks we don't have the money in the bank to cover, hoping our deposits will go in before the check goes thru. Well, yet again, we got caught in her little trap. She had a check go thru, which caused NSF fees, which caused my checks to not be big enough to cover bills AND the NSF fees, which caused bills to back up and late fees to be added, which caused more checks to have NSF fees, etc. Long story short, I'm overdrawn at the bank, my car was reposessed, my cable (and therefore my internet) has been turned off, and I've got to come up with $1350 to get my car back. I'd let the car go, but it has about $3000 worth of stereo equipment in it. So now we're going to be late with the rent. LOL! You have to laugh to keep from crying sometimes. The next person that tells me money can't buy you happiness is going to get a poke to the nose. So, with all this on my plate, its been difficult to really keep track of what I eat. Luckily for me, I've been doing this long enough that its second nature. I haven't gone on any long binges or started stuffing chocolate into my mouth as fast as I can. I have had a few pieces of chocolate, don't get me wrong! I've also eaten more than one piece of pizza at a sitting. But I haven't fallen off the wagon so to speak. Its really like I wasn't on a wagon to begin with. I don't have to worry about getting off my diet, because it hasn't been a diet that I've been on. Thru all of this, I'm still on my journey. This has renewed my hope in my ability to continue my quest for a healthier me. I haven't been working out, but that's due to some back problems I've developed recently and I'll get back to it as soon as I can.
