I make bol with at least twice as much veg as mince: courgettes, carrots, onions, peppers, it kicks off like this but after an hour simmering you can’t see what’s what. 500g mince stretches to 4 people x two meals. Lower cal, cheap & the kids go mad for it

I do the same as well. Sometimes I add brown lentils to bulk it up as well. Looks delicious 😋

Interesting! Would love to see if I could sneak some lentils in there on them. They’ve never really liked lentils.

did you use low fat mince Jan?

Hey sleek, no I tend to use higher fat mince for bol. There’s so much flavour in it as it cooks out. Otherwise you tend to need to add extra oil at the start to fry it off anyway. Then I go easy on the pasta or have it with greens instead.

I’d die for a bowl of that !

I never use oil to fry off mince, 5% fat mince has enough in it to brown it off nicely. Got enough there to feed the whole street Janus. Bet your kids were happy
