I became a baker because it was something I always had a fondness for doing! I have ADHD/ADD pretty bad, and this somehow calms my crazy ever wandering mind! Sometimes the ads is bad enough that I have trouble having conversations, and finding the right words to fill in a full sentence! Someone asked on my last post about why/how I became a baker. I used to sit at the front desk of a Pediatric office, as a receptionist...but I couldn’t sit in my seat for too long, I was always running around the office, and I think they only kept me there for comedic relief! 😂 it was there though, that I built a family of lovely encouraging people who encouraged me to make this a profession for myself! And so I did! I sold my nice camera for $400-and bought industrial sized bags of flour & sugar, and a few other products! I kept doing craft fairs and such, and kept making good money! 7 years later, and many different trials & errors, I’ve found the what works for me, and I make A TON of baked goods and sell out every week! 

I love your story of evolution to something that you love to do!! It gives me faith and hope that I, too, can find my niche!!

Can I just tell you that I’m so glad I don’t live near your bakery. Nothing personal towards you but.... omg your pies and other baked goods look soooo good. Thanks for sharing. Banana cake is one of my favorites so I’m sure that pie would be yummy!!!

the first pie I ever had was banana cream. my mom made one for dessert one evening. I was excited because dessert didn't happen often. I got sent to bed without supper by my Dad. For some horrible reason like being in the same room as him. He was mean. anyway I was just laying there thinking about that pie. I didn't care about dinner just pie. As I lay there my mom came up to my room with a piece of pie. it was delicious. I always think of banana cream pie as the equivalent to love. Have any of you attached a strong emotion to food 💞🍌🍰 

@deborahhkerr-I love that story! Banana cream pie is so good! It’s creamy, and cold, and delicious! It is such a simple pie, but so innocently delicious!
