I found a couple of sites online where you could figure what your BMI (Body Mass Index) is. I of course knew that I would fall into the obese catagory, but I wanted to know what my progress has been.
BMI for: Normal wt 18.5-24.9 Overweight 25.0-29.9 Obese 30 and over
My original BMI was 42 when I weighed 260. My current BMI is 37.54 for my weight this morning of 232.6 I have decreased my BMI by 4.46. I am that much closer to being healthier.
I will need to weigh 185-155 just to be in the overweight catagory. My goal wt is 149 which would give me a BMI of 24. According to the Weight Watcher website a healthy weight range for my height and age is 124- 155. I am glad to see that the goal weight I had chosen falls within the healthy guidelines of the BMI and also Weight Watchers.
