StumpsMom's Journal, 11 Sep 08

Feeling a little frustrated I think. I'm working out daily, and am still stuck at my current weight. I shouldn't be feeling this way, because my food has certainly not been perfect. Hey, maybe I just needed to whine a little! ha! I'm sure I can get back on track...it just seems to me that when I'm on the cusp of moving forward, something happens in life (currently it's major family issues) that contributes to my getting off track. Not that I'm blaming, because I certainly take responsibility for my decisions...I think I need to focus more on me and my mental health, right? To heck with the dysfunctional family, right? RIGHT~ :)

It IS hard to stay on track when you're under stress. It's good that you got your feelings out in your journal. Hopefully that made you feel a little bit better. Keep hanging in there and do the best that you can! Hope the family issues get better soon.

no, well not exactly. is this your immediate fam, your household? in my case its my mother and sister that have issues that weigh me down... i learn to accept its their problems, i am here to help only IF i can. they come second now. i love them but could no longer allow it to bother my life as much as it was doing. I am a mother and wife first, i hope you find your solutions, and hope the issues settle. also, for me, i find my work outs to be my place to vent, MY time, where i come fist and let things go. I pick up everything on my way out, and usually find the load lighter, hope this helps.

In addition to being difficult to stay on track, the stress has its effects too, for sure. It can put you in survival mode, and that way your body resists letting go. I am also stressed out at the moment and I know that it has an effect on my loss. You're not alone! I hope the family issues resolve and that you are able to find a peaceful place inside where you can concentrate on yourself. (((hug)))).
