Overdid the walking on Thursday (3.5 miles) and felt crappy the rest of the day. Went back to 2.8 miles on Friday, then 3.1 on Saturday.

Today was supposed to be my scheduled day off from walking but DH had a different plan and took my Collie ONLY on a walk with him extra early this AM. Well, my Lab took grave exception to this turn of events, because the 2 dogs always get walked together, and proceeded to come and wake ME up to tell me all about it! She wimpered, and she cried. And she wimpered some more - you get the idea. No more sleep for me, even though it was earlier than I planned on getting up. I felt so bad for her that I got dressed and took her out by herself for 1.8 miles. That made it a bit of a time crunch to get the dogs cooled down, fed and both DH and I showered and breakfast made AND still make it to church on time.

Now, I'm not so sure if I should walk tomorrow or plan on taking it as a day off or maybe doing another shorter walk like today. I hate to not walk as my exercise, as I'm 1.5 pounds behind the goal for the Christmas Challenge which means I'd have to lose 3 pounds by next Sunday to get back on track. I haven't lost 3 pounds in a week, since Induction I think, so that's kind of a bummer. When I started the Challenge, I truly thought I could push the weight loss from just a pound a week to 1.5 pounds, but I may just fall behind in Week 8 (of the first 10-week Challenge). I COULD cut back on cheese, Atkins products, diet soda, etc. and/or add more exercise, but I just don't know if I want to do it that badly. The walking distance already takes a pretty good amount of energy from me and I'm afraid if I begin to add a whole lot more exercise, you'll find me draped over a chair for most of the rest of the day!!! Decisions, decisions......
