tephraim2's Journal, 24 Aug 10

Good Morning! I Have to tell you today is one of the Nicest Days this year in SAN FRANCISCO and it has me smiling big! How is that for healthy? Well yesterday I did the Jillian Micheal's Fat blast video and wow that felt good. It was definitely hard but it felt amazing! I haven't dropped any more weight since my last weigh in, but I feel great and my co-worker this morning was like "looking great", not going to lie it felt great! I am going to go ahead and do the video again and cross my fingers that tomorrow I finally hit that 20 pound mark. I believe it will happen. YAY go me.

I have to ask you all what you philosophy is for buying clothes as you are losing weight. I am definitely a shopper but have refrained (really hard for me) since I started dropping weight. However, my pants are starting to look sloppy as they are getting baggy and far to big. How have all of you approached this issue?

Today might be a good day for me to go at my own newly purchased Jillian Michael's "30 Day Shred" video. As you lose weight, be particularly careful with belts, they get enormous quickly, and after several rounds, it can begin to get expensive. Buy a couple of pairs of pants at each stage down, and don't be too quick to stock up on everything when you reach your goal as you may decide afterwards to lose another ten pounds (my case). Enjoy the weather!

I have not bought any new clothes, I guess it helps being broke LOL! I feel that belts work great until your pants start to look like parachuette pants on your thighs LOL! I also have smaller clothes that I wore two years ago and never threw away.

I'm having the same issue. I have to use a belt, but the belt is getting too big and sometimes they are just as expensive as the pants! As the other members said, buy just a couple new items at a time. Buying shirts/blouses that are more tailored will look less sloppy as they start to get bigger. Also try thrift stores, especially for your casual weekend clothes.

Hey, was it the Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism one? I really LOVE that one - a great fat burning workout! I think it's one of her more difficult workouts, but as long as you're working out anyway, it might as well be good! How nice to hear what a gorgeous day you're having! I'm envious...it'll be WEEKS until we have a day that's tolerable! :) You KNOW you're doing something right if your friends are noticing! That's awesome and OF COURSE it's going to make you feel good. Two words for clothes shopping - thrift stores. You're in SF - you've got to have a lot of nice ones there. I've "shopped out of my own closet for months, but will pick up pieces at a thrift store, too. Nothing feels as good as a pair of jeans you know fit. :)
