I started taking anti-depressants in April and I've never felt better emotionally. But unfortunately accompanying the increased mood was a whopping 7 kg and rising weight gain. This hasn't helped with the depression and anxiety as I'm feeling very uncomfortable in my own skin. None of my clothes or underwear fit anymore so it's really difficult to feel secure and comfortable. I was overweight as a kid, weighing 82kgs as 14yr old, and now I'm starting to see numbers I haven't seen in years and it's very disconcerting. I'm trying to count my calories as trying to maintain a healthy diet on my own and exercising has not curbed the weight gain. I enjoy running, pilates and horseriding and I do 6000-10000 steps daily but no amount of activity has seemed to help so I think the secret is in the diet. Going to try and keep my journey public for accountability as I can't go on like this and I'm not in a position to get a new wardrobe.
